The land of roses, Bulgaria, is a small country of ancient culture, scenic beauty, friendly people, hospitality and warmth. Bulgaria is situated in south-eastern Europe. It occupies the central part of Balkan peninsula on both sides of the Balkan Range (the Balkans), from which the peninsula has taken its name. The grater part of the northern border with Romania passes along the Danube, and the eastern border is the Black Sea. The land borders with Yugoslavia and Macedonia to the west, with Turkey to the south-east, and with Greece to the south.

Bulgaria – a world of beautiful nature, a perfect place for your summer or winter vacation. Perhaps few people know that the Bulgarian Seaside spreads along more than 370 km and is popular with its fantastic sandy beaches which are among the best in Europe.

Clear and calm sea waters with low concentration of salt and with no dangerous fishes and other animals – it is perfect for swimming and diving. During the summer season, the sun shines hot for more than 300 hours and no wonder the ancient Greeks used to call this sea – “hospitable sea”. Bulgaria is located on the Balkan Peninsula in the South-Eastern part of Europe . Its capital is Sofia . The population is approximately 9 million people and the official language is Bulgarian Although small, the country's territory is quite diverse – there are high mountainous areas and large plain regions. The climate in Bulgaria is mild continental and thanks to its specific geographic location with Mediterranean influence, the flora and fauna varies greatly. You can come to Bulgaria by plane, ship, train or by bus either with organized or individual trip.

The national currency in Bulgaria is LEV. There are coins for 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 stotinki and 1 lev and banknotes for 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 levs.
Melodious songs and beautiful voices, rhythmical dances and bright colourful national costumes – you have to see, feel and experience the Bulgarian folklore.

Now throughout the Bulgarian land can be seen the unique monuments of different ages and cultures, 11 of them included in the UNESCO List of World Natural and Cultural Heritage. There are many other, both body and soul temptations in Bulgaria , as well as the national cuisine and drinks in the typical Bulgarian cozy restaurants and pubs. You will be tempted by the abundance of vegetables and fruits, fresh meat, delicious lenten meals, good white and red wines, pancakes with honey, baklava and last but not least – popular Bulgarian yogurt!
